The September 11th 2001 attacks where one of the major events of the beginning of the century. They are also the most mysterious. Ten years after, what remains? Rare certainties and urban myths fed by disinformation and bad faith. What do we know of the hijackers? Who exactly where they? Who commanded them? Could they have been stopped? The purpose of this two part investigation of 52 minutes is to spread light on the geopolitical and historical context of the attacks and try to answer these questions as concisely as possible. In order to do this we are going to retrace the events from beginning to end.
Two films both thematic and chronological. At the hart of the story will be a handful of secret agents, policemen and investigators since the beginning of the eighties, powerless against the rise of Islamic terrorism. We will tell the story of their secret war filling the gaps with interventions from politicians at the centre of events as well as analysis from “experts” (diplomats, historians), set the task of providing the key moments and decoding the events.
