Résumé

In Rwanda today, more than 60,000 homes are entirely managed by children: places where there is no residing adult presence. This represents around 300,000 children that are generally poorly educated and can barely read or write.

This film is the story of one of those “homes,” and the story of a “family.” This home is managed by Nyria, a 17-year old teenager in a Rwandan village.

It’s a film about children after the war, after the genocide, in which director Philippe Prigent listens to their stories, their experiences in their own words. The goal is not only to evoke their past, but to illuminate their future.
