Julien has the stare of someone whos existence has been broken. Today the prison doors close to end his 13 years of detention. Julien is 28 and free. But only in appearance as society is not going to give him a second chance that easily.

But his true adversary is elsewhere; in his head and within the image of a young women with whom he is obsessed. Emilie is a shop assistant by day and an outgoing member of a night club at night. Julien gazes at her, spies on her, and constantly stalks her, risking his own hopes of reintegration.

Julien sees Emilie who doesn’t see him as he is: the memory of unbearable past, wiped from her memory exactly 12 years ago. Just a word from him in the street is enough: Emilie recognises him, there destinies become one. For the second and perhaps last time…..
